As people are finalising their New Year’s Eve plans with family and friends I thought I would take a moment to reflect upon 2017. It’s been a year of ups and downs, from starting a new job and booking my dream holiday to losing loved ones. One thing I can say is that this year has gone by so quickly. This is something I find myself saying a lot as I get older and the years pass by. 2017 hasn’t been one of my best years but I’ve learnt that you have to take the bad with the good.
Something that I’ve tried to be consistent with this year is taking photos of what I’ve done, places I’ve visited and things I’ve loved. It’s lovely looking back over your photos and seeing all the things you got up to that year, as it’s easy to forget some of the memories you made. This is something I will keep doing going into 2018.
Here’s a few snaps of some of the things I got up to in 2017…
Looking back on the positives, I got to explore new places, re-visit much loved places, see my favourite bands, try new experiences and start a job in a completely new industry. It’s easy to focus on the things you didn’t do but it’s better to remember all the things you achieved. I hope you had a great 2017 and here’s to an even better 2018.
“You have to take the good with the bad, smile with the sad. love what you got, and remember what you had. Always forgive, but never forget, learn from your mistakes but never regret. People change, things go wrong, but just remember life goes on.”
Happy New Year!
